With certain people we may have what is referred to as a “chemistry with someone” which is a biological response that can evoke feelings of excitement and sexual stimulation at first site. These relationships can create an intense attraction between two people which is often the basis for starting a relationship. This kind of attraction alone is not always enough for a lasting relationship as the initial excitement eventually fades away and if there is not a deeper love and broader level of companionship and compatibility then it may not endure long term. That is why it is important to wait until you know a person before you engage with them sexually since sex is a bonding act, particularly for women. Having sex early on may make it harder to end an undesirable relationship later if you find that you are not compatible on other levels.
