Prem Rawat was give the honorable title of Maharaji as a child which means spiritual teacher, “revealer of light” , “One who takes us away from the darkness and brings us to Light”. Mr Rawat’s father, Shri Hans, was also given the title Maharaji and he spent his years traveling across India to reveal the Knowledge of the Self to Seekers of Truth who wished to gain inner wisdom and peace. Shri Hans indicated that his youngest son, Prem Rawat should take the Knowledge of the Self to the world. Mr Rawat began speaking at a young age and took on the responsibility of spreading this Knowledge across the globe when his father passed away when he was just 8 years old.
